Our Stonehaven Coastal experience will take you on an exhilarating and breath-taking tour of our majestic coastline. Meandering around the cliffs and venturing into caves you will be able to view the coastline up close and personal. Our RIB will take you to the inlets to view the unique ‘pudding stone’ rock formations which provide the perfect habitat for the seasonal migrating birds.
Take in the stunning views of Dunnottar Castle and be sure to have your camera ready as this iconic landmark is best viewed from the sea. Picking up speed and heading further south past the devil's footprints and pulpit rock, the dramatic sea cave will take you deep into the cliffs where thousands of seabirds visit in season. From here we will head towards an area known as wine cove and you can hear how this area acquired its name.
Heading towards the RSPB reserve at Fowlsheugh and Catterline you can view the dramatic sea cliffs for migrating birds. As well as a natural waterfall at Crawton, the deepwater gives an opportunity to get closer to the seals who regularly visit this area.
Speeding up the tour will take you past Catterline and Tod Head Lighthouse and down to a little know ruined castle at Whistleberry before heading back towards Stonehaven where you can be sure of spectacular views and also the possibility of dolphins.
Our guides will reveal all the tales from years gone by and the history surrounding our area and there will be lots of opportunities to stop and take pictures at each beauty spot.
